报告摘要：Electrochemistry has attracted increasing attention as a green and practical method in synthetic chemistry, especially in the realm of small molecule synthesis. By stark contrast, the extension of electrosynthesis to peptidic substrates has long been under-employed. The prospect of exploiting the unique interface between organic synthesis and chemical biology has driven us to explore new strategies for the rapid generation of valuable structural analogues of peptide therapeutics. The methodologies developed during my PhD explore the chemo- and regio-selectivity of direct anodic oxidation of peptide C-terminal carboxylates, leveraging electrochemically-generated reactive intermediates, N,O-acetals, as valuable handles for divergent late-stage modifications.
