Commercialization of Scientific and Research Findings
Prof. Wei Li has made a number of major scientific research achievements in the field of new-type nano-catalysts. Some of these achievements are directly oriented to the national economy, and many achievements have completed the scale-up production on an industrial scale. A number of important research results focusing on the ‘Nano-catalyst Design and Application in Important Chemical Reactions Project’ have achieved scale-up production on an industrial scale. They have been applied to the production of 10,000 tons of PVC by Sichuan Yibin Tianyuan Company and annual output of 5,000 tons of N,N-dimethylaniline by Jiangsu Hongze Dayang Chemical Company through the gas-phase green synthesis process. The accumulated new output value is more than 5 billion yuan, and the profits and taxes are more than 1 billion yuan. While achieving huge economic benefits, they overcome the problems of long production cycle and heavy pollution in industrial applications. These research results have made great contributions to the sustainable development of enterprises' economy and environmental governance.
